Healing occurs through a reparative therapeutic relationship, which helps you connect to the relationship first with yourself, family and friends, and the world surrounding you. I am enthusiastic about working with individuals and couples. I offer an open and safe space to help my clients heal to become their best authentic selves. I am gentle in my approach. However, I confront matters to help you dig a little deeper to help you connect with the insight for your healing. For couples, l utilize Imago therapy.

Counseling Registration

You may not have known how you or your relationship got here, but you hold the answer! Factors of everyday life can put an abundant strain on a relationship. Severe stressors may include resentment, infidelity, intimacy issues, lack of trust, and miscommunication. When problems go unresolved, one can feel helpless, guilty, or ashamed. Communicating effectively on both parts can alleviate emotional anxiety from subjects of all kinds.Couples often seek couples or marriage counseling when the relationship is at a standstill or unsure whether the relationship is worth salvaging. This type of therapy can benefit families with children affected by relationship issues such as divorce and confront the source of the conflict.

Imago is a theory used to help couples establish a connection as I help guide and facilitate a dialogue to help them connect and discover better ways to communicate. Clients come in tensed but leave feeling clearer, lighter, and freer.Begin the process, demystifying that therapy doesn't work. In working with other counselor educators and first-time entrepreneurs, Jamice recognized where Imposter Syndrome affected their confidence in establishing themselves as the expert in the room. Jamice experienced other counselor educators who questioned their qualifications and had concerns about how others would perceive them and an overall sense of low self-worth. Jamice became inspired to help counselor educators and first-time entrepreneurs open their private practices beyond Imposter Syndrome, and as a result, Jamice is the author of The Guide to Opening a Private Practice. During her five years of service, the incongruence between beliefs and expectations among counselor educators has allowed her to see a noticeable trend. This has informed her current research focus on the African-American perspective of counselor educators who have experienced Imposter Syndrome.
